The Grand Rapids Gold, is the NBA G League Affiliate of the Denver Nuggets. Since the 2014-2015 season, the team has offered affordable, family-friendly entertainment and elite basketball to the West Michigan community.
Role Description
This is an internship role for a Game Day Photography Intern, it is an on-site role located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Game Day Photography Intern will be responsible for capturing pictures in hospitality-based areas and in-game promotions, as well as photographing fans of all ages as they enter the arena and throughout the game. The role also involves assisting the team photographer with photo shoots and community events when available, and supporting the corporate sales department by providing photography for marketing and corporate sponsorship needs. Additionally, editing and uploading photos to the team's Google Drive account is required within 24 hours following each game.
Qualifications
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field is preferred
- Must use own photography equipment / computer / editing software
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all home games (including weekends and holidays)
- Experience using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop preferred
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI
- Enthusiasm for basketball and sports photography is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing personality; comfortable starting conversations with fans
- Creative and detail oriented, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation, as well as presenting a professional presence
