Starting at $18.00/hour (based on education and experience)

Start Date: 1/4/2026

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Beginnings long term sub will begin as an Infant assistant teacher (January-April 2027). This position will be 12:15-5:45p Monday-Friday. The long-term sub will assume assistant teacher responsibilities in the classroom during the specified months above.

  • Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher
  • Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment
  • Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.
  • Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience
  • At pick up foster positive relationships with parents
  • Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent
  • Attend all required training, staff meetings, or events
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position
  • Maintains licensing compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Educational requirements: High School Diploma required
  • Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant
  • Physically able to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the day
  • Able to see and hear clearly, stay at children’s level, and actively engage to ensure their safety.
  • Has a heart and mission to reach the next generation with the Gospel.
  • Can clearly articulate the Gospel to a young child.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
