For over 20 years, we've partnered with schools throughout Los Angeles to inspire children to live active, healthy lifestyles through engaging Physical Education classes, after-school enrichment programs, camps, and special events. Every day, our coaches create positive experiences that help students build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a lifelong love of movement.
At Got Game, Physical Education is more than just sports. Our goal is to help students build confidence, develop healthy habits, strengthen teamwork, and discover the joy of being active in a fun and supportive environment.
We're currently hiring Physical Education Coaches to lead engaging PE classes at elementary schools throughout the San Fernando Valley.
Position Details
Location: San Fernando Valley (Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, and surrounding areas)
Schedule: Primarily Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with additional opportunities throughout the week.
School Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM โ 3:00 PM (hours vary by school)
Employment: Part-Time opportunities with the potential to grow into full-time
Pay: Starting at $25/hour
Most positions will begin at approximately 20โ30 hours per week, with Monday, Thursday, and Friday serving as the primary focus days. Additional after-school enrichment hours may be available on these days and potentially other days throughout the week. Each school partnership has unique scheduling needs, but most roles are expected to begin the week of August 17th.

A Day in the Life
No two days are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect as a Got Game Physical Education Coach:
- Arrive at your assigned elementary school and prepare equipment for the day's classes.
- Lead engaging Physical Education classes for TK-5th grade students.
- Teach a variety of sports, fitness activities, cooperative games, and movement-based lessons that keep students active and excited to participate.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged, challenged, and successful.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and healthy habits while maintaining a fun and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with school staff and the Got Game leadership team to ensure a successful school day.
- End each day knowing you've made a positive impact by helping students build confidence, stay active, and develop a lifelong love of movement.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging Physical Education classes for elementary-aged students (TK-5th Grade).
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, sports, fitness activities, and skill development lessons.
- Create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Encourage teamwork, inclusion, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles.
- Supervise students while ensuring safety at all times.
- Set up, organize, and maintain sports equipment and activity areas.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and the Got Game leadership team.
- Serve as a positive role model for students through professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Physical Education, coaching, recreation, childcare, or youth programs.
- Bachelor's degree or coursework in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Child Development, Education, Recreation, or a related field (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation to schools throughout the San Fernando Valley.
- Ability to pass a Live Scan background check.

Interview Process
- Submit your application for review by the Got Game team.
- Qualified candidates will complete a brief one-way video interview.
- Selected candidates will be invited to a virtual or in-person interview.
- If offered a position, you'll complete onboarding and training before joining the team.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate, instruct, and participate in physical activities, including running, jumping, stretching, and lifting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and remain active throughout the school day.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (sports equipment, cones, goals, etc.).
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to project your voice while leading large groups.
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations while ensuring student safety.
