About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and confident per diem Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician looking for flexible, supplemental work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This position is ideal for a self-sufficient PT who is comfortable working independently with an established patient population, bringing strong clinical judgment and a passion for orthopedic and sports rehab care.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Per Diem

• Approximately <6 hours per week to start, with potential for growth

• Schedule: Evening and/or weekend availability preferred; flexible scheduling

• Locations: Astoria (Queens), Gramercy (Manhattan), and/or Upper East Side (Manhattan)

• Setting: Adult outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult patients with orthopedic and sports-related conditions

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

• Provide hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice standards

• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and the clinical team

• Operate independently and confidently in a per diem capacity

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree required

• Current and valid New York State Physical Therapy license

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and/or sports rehabilitation

• Demonstrated competency in evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions

• Comfortable and confident working independently with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care

• Must carry active individual professional liability insurance
