Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Day Program Manager to lead and oversee our community-based day programs dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This energetic leader will coordinate daily operations, foster positive relationships with clients, staff, and community partners, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for social services, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to empowering underserved populations through innovative program development and effective management.
Duties
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of day program activities that promote independence, social engagement, and skill development for individuals with disabilities.
- Supervise and support social service program staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community agencies, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance service delivery.
- Oversee administrative functions such as documentation, reporting, client records management, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Coordinate behavioral health supports and behavioral intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure program compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in social services administration.
- Lead efforts in program development by identifying new opportunities for community engagement and service expansion.
- Monitor program outcomes through data collection and analysis to continuously improve service quality.
- Promote a positive team environment that encourages staff collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and from underserved communities.
- Proven leadership in social services administration with supervisory experience in behavioral health or related fields.
- Strong relationship management skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Excellent administrative abilities including budgeting, documentation, compliance tracking, and report writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily operations and reporting tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop programs that meet diverse client needs while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively.
- Experience supervising social service staff including coaching, performance evaluations, and team management.
- Knowledge of behavioral health strategies and behavioral intervention techniques.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while maintaining a focus on quality service delivery.
