Work Environment

This position is designed to be remote, providing you with the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. You will be working primarily within an outpatient office setting, collaborating with a dedicated team of mental health professionals including therapists, social workers, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client concerns and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address each client's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that clients receive holistic support throughout their therapeutic journey.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Engage in program development initiatives, contributing innovative ideas for improving counseling services and patient outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress, ensuring their immediate safety and mental well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client records, adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality.
  • Provide family and couples therapy, fostering healthy communication and conflict resolution among relationship partners.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, helping clients build coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma resolution, and interpersonal relationships. This role is designed for those who are enthusiastic about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A current license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Maryland.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in mental health settings, supporting individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems to efficiently document client interactions and treatment plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Commitment to cultural competence and an inclusive approach to providing care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full-time counselors are also eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend designed to support your well-being.
