Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Good Karma Counseling Center, you will:

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, strengths, and available resources.
  • Provide individualized therapy, family counseling, and group sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive client assessments.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care for clients.
  • Engage in crisis intervention strategies, including risk assessment and safety planning, to support clients effectively during challenging moments.
  • Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions, psychoeducation programs, and supportive peer groups to foster community and shared recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to ethical and legal guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working closely with a diverse range of clients, including adults facing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and those transitioning from detox programs. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward recovery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • A proven ability to engage and connect with clients compassionately and effectively.
