Position Summary

We're looking for a VP of Retail Operations to own the operating infrastructure behind our multi-unit footprint of coaching centers - process, tools and technology, real estate, and franchise operations. This role builds and runs the machine that lets every center operate efficiently and scale predictably. This seat is about the systems, standards, locations, and franchise relationships that support coaches and centers, not about managing coaches directly; coach performance and the management of our coaching workforce sit with a separate coaching leadership function. Reporting directly to the GM, you'll partner closely with the coaching/performance leader to ensure operations and coaching delivery reinforce each other.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own operational process and standards across the network. Design and standardize workflows, SOPs, and quality-control processes independent of coaching content - the "how the business runs" layer.
  • Own the technology and tools stack. Lead scheduling, CRM/POS, workforce management, and reporting/dashboarding tools; be the internal owner for evaluating, implementing, and rolling out new operational technology.
  • Own real estate strategy and center development. Lead site selection, lease negotiation, buildout, and facilities management for new and existing centers.
  • Own franchise operations. Lead franchisee relations, compliance, unit economics support, and operational playbooks that help franchise partners run centers to standard.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost management across non-coaching functions. Own facilities, procurement, vendor management, and back-office support for the center network.
  • Own Center design and experience.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the coaching/performance leadership function. Ensure tools, space design, and processes support - without dictating - coaching delivery and quality.
  • Support new market entry and footprint growth. Build the real estate pipeline and operational readiness plans for new center openings.
  • Report to the GM and senior leadership on infrastructure health. Present regular updates on real estate pipeline, systems adoption, franchise compliance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of multi-unit operations leadership with a focus on process, systems, real estate, or franchise operations for a physical, multi-location business.
  • Direct experience owning real estate strategy - site selection, lease negotiation, and buildout - for a multi-unit footprint.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and scaling operational technology (scheduling, CRM, POS, workforce management, reporting) across a large footprint.
  • Experience working with or managing franchise partners, including compliance and operational playbook development.
  • Comfortable operating as a close partner to a separate leader who owns front-line service/coaching delivery, rather than owning that workforce directly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a franchise or hybrid corporate/franchise operating model.
  • Experience operating inside a private equity-owned or PE-backed company - comfortable with rigorous reporting cadences and KPI-driven accountability.
  • Background in real estate development, facilities, or construction/buildout for retail or service-based brands.
  • Prior experience as a senior executive (VP+) with functional (non-P&L or shared-P&L) ownership.
  • Background in golf, fitness, wellness, or another premium, appointment-based service category.

Benefits

  • Six (6) company observed holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
  • GOLFTEC observes a Flexible Time Off policy for exempt employees
  • Health Insurance (Company pays 50% of individual & family)
  • 401(k) Plan available with employer match
  • Dental and Vision Benefits available
  • Short-Term Disability (paid for by employer)
  • Long-Term Disability available
  • Employee Pricing on golf lessons and golf merchandise
  • Continuing education allowance of $500 per year
