Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ psychosocial wellbeing, identifying individual treatment needs and formulating personalized therapy plans.
• Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and others to address diverse mental health issues.
• Assist clients in navigating related bureaucratic processes by guiding them through entitlement forms, supplemental insurance applications, and other critical documentation.
• Connect patients with necessary community resources, including prescription assistance programs, to mitigate financial barriers to care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting treatment sessions, progress notes, and any critical case management activities.
• Act as an effective liaison and advocate for clients, collaborating with community partners and agencies to facilitate comprehensive patient support.
• Participate actively in clinical team meetings to review case developments, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement in therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with clients from varied backgrounds who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• Active state licensure is essential, with qualifications accepted being LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of therapeutic principles and practices.
• Strong proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing effective treatment plans, specifically employing evidence-based therapies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, foster trust, and facilitate open discussions about sensitive issues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy modalities.
• Familiarity with community resources in Moreno Valley, California, and the ability to navigate local services effectively.
• Knowledge of current mental health trends and methodologies, particularly in a remote counseling environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Golden Steps Recovery Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
