Golden State Care Center is seeking a reliable Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe and clean environment. This role includes routine maintenance, repairs, and grounds-keeping under the direction of the Maintenance Director.

Schedule:

• Part-Time (30–35 hours/week)
• Flexible; weekends/holidays as needed

Essential Duties

• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC)
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks
• Respond to maintenance requests
• Maintain grounds and facility areas
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards
• Assist with equipment setup and emergency repairs
• Keep tools and work areas organized
• Follow safety and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of maintenance or related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building systems
• Ability to use tools safely and work independently
• Reliable with good communication skills
• Must pass background check and pre-employment requirements

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, climb as needed
• Work indoors and outdoors
• Respond to emergencies when required
