Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role based in Detroit, MI. The Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their coverage needs, explain available insurance products, and recommend tailored solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, conducting consultations, preparing quotes, and processing applications and policy changes. The role also involves maintaining accurate client records, following up on renewals, and providing ongoing customer support for claims and policy inquiries. The Insurance Agent will collaborate with internal teams and carriers, stay current on industry trends and regulations, and work toward individual and team sales goals while maintaining high professional and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales, with the ability to identify client needs and close new and renewal business.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and coverage options, with experience in Insurance Brokerage or working with multiple carriers.
  • Foundational knowledge of Finance to explain policy value, premiums, and long-term financial impact to clients.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and timely follow-up on client requests and issues.
  • State insurance licensing or eligibility to obtain required licenses within a specified timeframe.
  • Comfort using CRM systems and standard office software to manage leads, track activities, and maintain documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Detroit, MI, with consistent reliability and professional conduct.
  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or sales is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
