Job description

What you'd own
  • Profitability analysis by client and by service line. Which accounts and services actually make us money
  • Annual budget and rolling projections, built by you, run by our ops team
  • Cash flow planning
  • Financial support on big decisions. New hires, raises, comp and bonus structures, pricing
  • Building and improving our financial systems yourself. Budget models, expense tracking, QuickBooks structure. You make them smarter, our ops manager runs them
  • Evaluating our current accounting setup and making sure every seat in our finance stack is the right one
How it works

We start with a deeper diagnostic phase over the first month or two. Digging into the books, pricing, margins and systems.

After that, an ongoing rhythm of one to a few days per month depending on what the business needs.

In person at our Montreal office, working directly with me and our operations manager.

Who this is for

You've done this before for agencies or service businesses and you understand how they make money. Retainers, project margins, utilization, production costs.

You think like an operator, not a bookkeeper. You're just as comfortable building the spreadsheet as presenting it. You come in with opinions.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants to make a real dent in a growing company, not review statements from a distance.
