Job description

Key Responsibilities – Java Backend Production Support:

  • Provide production support for Java-based backend applications, ensuring system stability and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Sev1/Sev2 production incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Analyze application logs and system behavior using tools like Splunk and Datadog to identify root causes quickly.
  • Debug backend issues related to APIs, microservices, and integration flows built in Java.
  • Perform SQL-based data validation and investigation to identify data inconsistencies and production issues.
  • Monitor application health and performance across production environments and proactively detect anomalies.
  • Work on Linux servers for log analysis, service checks, and basic operational troubleshooting.
  • Support and troubleshoot Kafka-based messaging systems, including message flow, lag, and processing issues.
  • Participate in API testing and validation to ensure correct service behavior during incidents and releases.
  • Support cloud-based environments and CI/CD pipelines, including deployment verification and post-release checks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings with preventive actions to avoid recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to implement permanent fixes and system improvements.
  • Focus on reducing downtime through fast issue identification, incident triage, and proactive monitoring.
  • Identify recurring production issues and contribute to long-term stability improvements and automation opportunities.
