Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized and effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's specific issues and goals, including trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Establish clear therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and actively monitor their progress to ensure they are on the path to achieving their desired outcomes.
  • Offer teletherapy options, facilitating virtual sessions that cater to clients facing accessibility challenges or those who prefer remote engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of client interactions and treatment plans to uphold the highest ethical standards in mental health care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices within the field of mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A valid and current state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with clients and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to working with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to handle caseload and documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience

Experience in providing therapy to clients with varying diagnoses, particularly in remote settings, is preferred. Candidates with training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities will have a competitive advantage. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be beneficial to ensure efficient documentation and streamlined workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

Gila River Health System offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and case load.
