Job description

Duties will include managing a diverse range of traffic engineering projects, acting as contact for the Traffic and Transportation
Department for development review (new construction, planning and building permit reviews); ensuring the planning, design and
operation of traffic systems to enhance safety, mobility, and efficiency; supporting senior staff and mentoring junior engineers
and traffic engineering technicians; authoring/revising technical specifications and design manuals; utilizing advanced expertise
in traffic analysis, transportation planning/schematic design, engineering plan review and roadway design; representing the
Department in public meetings; collaborating closely with local agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
PAY GRADE EN28 / FULL PAY RANGE $8,147 - $11,484 PER MONTH ($97,764 - $137,808 ANNUALLY)
PAY GRADE EN26 / FULL PAY RANGE $7,388 - $10,416 PER MONTH ($88,656 - $124,992 ANNUALLY)

Traffic Engineer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with six years of civil engineering experience, a
