Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify their specific needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and family therapy tailored to the unique circumstances and requirements of each patient.
  • Complete essential administrative tasks, including accurate billing, thorough documentation, nuanced individualized treatment plans, and timely submission of insurance authorization forms.
  • Develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans as required to promote stable functioning and well-being.
  • Create discharge plans that ensure a smooth transition for patients as they move toward independence.
  • Adhere to all current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and NEHS policies and procedures to maintain compliance and uphold the highest ethical standards.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development by maintaining licensure, attending training sessions, and engaging in continuing education opportunities.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings to enhance collective knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  • Complete all mandatory training and licensure requirements in a timely manner.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will serve encompasses a wide range of backgrounds and mental health challenges. This includes individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and those experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your ability to provide culturally competent care with an emphasis on empathy and understanding will be crucial in creating a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensing.
  • Licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW) in the State of California.
  • Proven ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an emphasis on time management and adherence to deadlines.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in community health settings and familiarity with a wide array of mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of integrated care models that combine mental health and physical health services.
  • Experience implementing evidence-based therapeutic practices and techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
