Land Systems continues to work with the US Armed Forces and its Allies to ensure these vehicles remain survivable, relevant, flexible, affordable and capable of addressing a dynamic threat environment.
Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
The Material Handler is responsible for receivingincoming material from vendors, move/transact materials to production, and package finished goods for shipment in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with inventory control functions such as cycle counting and physical inventories when necessary.
  • Perform receiving and shipping functions per procedure using the inventory control system
  • Load and unload freight
  • Perform necessary transactional functions related to inventory receipts, issues, sub inventory movement and shipments
  • Perform general area housekeeping
  • Assist team members in the attainment of team goals by substituting and assisting in areas wherever needed
  • Conduct continuous improvement projects as needed
  • Conduct physical inventories as scheduled
  • Monitor and improve the following measurements: 98% minimum inventory record accuracy, all transactions performed per established procedure on an accurate and timely basis as periodically set by the supervisor, response time for internal and external customers, and shipping related performance (impact on customer).
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Ability to obtain forklift license
  • 2+ years' experience as a material handler desired
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30lbs
  • Basic mathematics skills and unit of measure conversion needed
  • Manufacturing experience strongly desired
  • Keen attention to detail and quality
  • Must have excellent vision and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Professional and effective communication skills a must
  • Excellent track record for attendance required - we need you here!
  • Strong computer and inventory management skills (Microsoft Excel, Oracle EBS)
  • Great attitude and attendance are a must!
