REPORTS TO: Manager or Supervisor on duty
POSITION STATUS: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
A bartender contributes to the success of our company by providing a memorable bar experience; beginning with a warm welcome, then guiding the guest through ordering and enjoying their meal and beverages and ending with a desire to return and to sit at their bar in the future. In addition, a bartender maintains the bar area in a clean and orderly manner throughout their shift.

Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The duties and responsibilities listed below are those that must be met to successfully perform this job.   •  Embodies Gastamo’s core values and mission in daily interactions by delivering heartfelt hospitality, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset. 
  • Prior to service, ensures bar and surrounding area is adequately stocked and organized.
  • Meets, greets, and welcomes guests.
  • Maintains knowledge of drink menus items and recipes.
  • Provides guests with drink suggestions and answer questions.
  • Mixes garnishes and serves alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks for guests.
  • Serves alcohol responsibly in accordance with the law.
  • Reports all guest complaints to supervisor immediately; communicates overall feedback to supervisor periodically.
  • Maintains all bar serving areas and stations in a clean, organized manner.
  • Completes beverage/ bar inventory orders as needed.
  • Assists team members, as needed, to maximize efficiency and service levels.
  • Adheres to safety and sanitary procedures set by management and the health department.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.
