GBD is fast-growing, high-paced custom furniture and architectural millwork manufacturer in Westminster. We build custom furniture, casework, and architectural millwork for retail locations, restaurants, bars, hotels, and other businesses.

At GBD, our Assistant Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the flow and production of projects. This person serves as the mainline of communication between the shop employees, vendors, and the office team on their projects and must have excellent communication skills. They also have regular contact with the end client and must maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Works closely with Clients, internal Designers, Project Manager Team, Production, and Vendors to ensure projects move smoothly from design through installation.
- Reviews architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope requirements and potential conflicts.
- Assists with material procurement, vendor coordination, and tracking long-lead items to support project schedules.
- Maintains accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, and client communications.
- Supports budget tracking and cost management while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Coordinates with fabrication teams to ensure approved drawings, materials, and information are available before production begins.
- Helps manage project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
- Communicates professionally with clients, designers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Assists with site visits, field measurements, installations, punch lists, and project closeout activities as needed.
- Maintains a solution-oriented mindset and proactively identifies potential project risks before they impact schedule or budget.
- Develops a working knowledge of millwork, metal fabrication, construction methods, finishes, and installation practices.

Candidates should have:
2+ years of Project Management
3+ years managing a team of 5 or more
2+ years of fine woodworking in a professional shop environment
Install experience.
