Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of a curriculum that support children’s learning and development in all domains of well-being (cognitive, physical, social, and emotional)
- Collaborate as part of a team of teachers to develop and implement creative hands-on activities and projects while creating a warm and nurturing environment where staff and students feel safe and secure.
- Manage student behavior and maintain classroom discipline
- Document and communicate children’s development and daily experiences using the school app as part of on-going assessment and communication tool for parents.
- Utilize early intervention strategies to identify and address learning difficulties
- Be detail oriented in cleaning and setting up the classroom to have it ready as a safe and healthy space for children.
Requirements:
- Teaching certification or license and/or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passion for educating and inspiring students
- Be available school days and during school hours (minimally from 8:45am-3:15pm M-TH and 8:45am-1:45pm F (More hours are potentially available for work in our after-care program.)
