Our surgery center was recognized as one of America's top ambulatory surgery centers by Newsweek in 2022. Our surgeons offer femtosecond assisted laser cataract surgery. North Georgia Eye Aesthetics offers oculoplastic and reconstructive services. We have a dedicated dry eye clinic which includes state of the art treatments including Lipiflow and IPL.. Whether your patients need an annual eye check or treatment for a specific eye condition, North Georgia Eye Associates can care for their entire family.. 

Position Summary

We are now hiring a Surgical Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director Performing other duties as required

Qualifications
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
  • Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise
  • Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy
  • Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
  • Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
