Job description

A Pediatrician providing primary care is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and planning treatment for infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves monitoring patients' growth and development, educating families on health and wellness, and maintaining detailed records using electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health and development through examinations and medical history review
  • Diagnose illnesses and medical conditions in pediatric patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to young patients
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Monitor growth and developmental milestones regularly
  • Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in pediatrics
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • State Medical License
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Strong pediatric care and patient communication skills
  • Knowledge of child development
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Attention to detail and empathy in patient care
