Job description

Job Summary:
Greenberg Traurig (GT) is a global law firm with an innovative environment, seeking a UI/UX Front End Developer. This role involves designing user-centered web applications focused on AI-driven experiences and requires collaboration with product stakeholders and engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Owns the end-to-end user experience across AI chat applications and front end platforms.
• Designs intuitive, visually polished, and accessible interfaces aligned with consumer-grade standards.
• Creates wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Figma.
• Establishes and evolves design systems, component libraries, and visual standards to ensure consistency across products.
• Applies principles of information architecture, interaction design, and content design to improve usability.
• Conducts user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to drive continuous improvements.
• Designs and implements micro-interactions, animations, and transitions to enhance user engagement.
• Translates complex AI and technical workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
• Advocates for accessibility (WCAG compliance) and inclusive design practices.
• Designs, builds, and maintains React-based front end applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Translates designs artifacts into pixel-perfect, performant, and responsive code.
• Develops scalable front end architecture, coding standards, and reusable components.
• Integrates with REST APIs and collaborate with backend engineering teams.
• Implements automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) using tools such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Contributes to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern deployment practices.
• Supports application deployment across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Evaluates and adopts appropriate front end frameworks when needed.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to translate business requirements into user stories and design solutions.
• Partners with distributed teams across the U.S. and EU using Microsoft 365, Teams, and Azure DevOps.
• Supports ad-hoc UI/UX and front end initiatives based on business priorities.
• Presents and communicates design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Create intuitive, user-centered experiences that balance business objectives with user needs.
• Deep understanding of interaction design, motion design, and micro-interactions that enhance user engagement and usability.
• Expertise in information architecture, layout design, typography, and visual hierarchy principles.
• Demonstrates proficiency in responsive and adaptive design methodologies across multiple devices and platforms.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain design concepts and rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• High level of creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering polished user experiences.
• Manage multiple concurrent design initiatives, including strategic product efforts and time-sensitive requests.
• Adaptability and comfort working within a fast-paced, evolving product, technology, and innovation environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of frontend development experience with significant UI/UX responsibility, demonstrated by exceptional design judgment and a portfolio of high-quality web and application design work.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and contributing to scalable design systems, component libraries, and UI frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and building production-grade, user-focused web applications, including consumer-grade and high-quality enterprise user experiences.
• Demonstrated experience delivering React/TypeScript applications from concept to deployment.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into user stories, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
• Experience designing AI-powered, conversational, or agent-based user experiences, including chat and copilot interfaces.
• Background in Product Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Expertise in modern design platforms, including Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, build tools, and component-based architectures, including Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next.js, Vite, and Webpack.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger services.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline tools.
Preferred:
• Experience working in professional services, legal, or highly regulated environments is highly preferred.
• Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and supporting modern deployment methodologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Docker, Progressive Web Applications (PWAs), or related technologies.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure preferred, AWS, GCP, and related deployment environments.
