Job description

HR Operations Coordinator (Contract)

We are seeking a professional to join our team on a contract basis, supporting day-to-day HR operations during a team member's leave of absence. This role will begin with a structured training period to ensure a smooth transition and continuity across key HR processes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
  • Coordinate onboarding communications, meeting scheduling, and task completion
  • Manage the onboarding inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Ensure all required compliance and new hire documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Track and monitor background check completion, following up as needed to ensure timelines are met
  • Escalate any issues to appropriate teams to maintain compliance
  • Maintain and manage I-9 documentation, including initial verification and re-verification processes
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping tasks as needed
  • Process one-time payments in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and approvals
  • Provide responsive, high-quality support to employees and managers
  • Address inquiries with professionalism and a customer-service mindset
What We're Looking For
  • Experience supporting onboarding and/or background check processes
  • Familiarity with HR systems (Workday experience is a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
