Reports To: Production Manager
Provides Technical Leadership to: Makers trained in the Pick / Pack / Ship skill area
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay scale: $23.00-29.30/ hour
GLDN is a direct-to-consumer jewelry brand that blends craft and technology to bring delight and connection through meaningful, personalized pieces. We design, manufacture, and ship from our headquarters in La Conner, Washington. We are growing - and our production team needs to grow with us!
The Fulfillment Technical Lead serves as the technical expert for Pick, Pack & Ship, ensuring work is performed safely, consistently, efficiently, and in accordance with GLDN quality standards. This role is a subject matter expert that partners closely with Production leadership to maintain technical excellence, develop team capability, improve processes, and support operational success.

Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
  • Serve as the technical expert and primary resource for Pick, Pack & Ship processes, tools, materials, and best practices.
  • Supervise and maintain quality assurance and process consistency within Pick, Pack & Ship.
  • Provide technical coaching and support to makers while promoting consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain inventory, supplies, tools, and equipment for Pick, Pack & Ship while following GLDN ordering processes and supporting Inventory Control with inventory counts and related responsibilities.

Training & Development
  • Train GLDN makers in Pick, Pack & Ship technical processes.
  • Supports cross-training opportunities within Pick, Pack & Ship as needed.
  • Supports competency tracking for makers within the department.
  • Recommend improvements to and maintain training processes, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Support New Product Launches by providing technical expertise, testing new processes, and helping prepare the team for successful launches.

Leadership & Communication
  • Communicate technical updates, process changes, quality expectations, appreciation, and constructive feedback in the moment.
  • Provide technical skill, quality, cross-training, and productivity feedback to support coaching conversations and performance reviews.
  • Work collaboratively, attend leadership, continuous improvement, and other meetings as requested, providing input and recommendations regarding Pick, Pack & Ship.
  • Support daily shop organization, safety expectations, and a positive team environment.
  • Work on production while balancing technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping vendors, including USPS and FedEx, coordinating weekend pickups as needed, and ordering shipping supplies.

  • Comfortable using computers and standard workplace software (Slack, Manufacturing/Fulfillment Software, Google Drive, etc.) and willing to learn new tools as business needs evolve
