Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, piping, and plumbing (MEP) projects. This role involves working closely with clients to define project scopes, develop budgets, manage procurement, and oversee both field and office operations. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership ability, and interpersonal skills to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.

This position requires a strong presence either in the office or on job sites at least four days per week, along with regular site visits to monitor progress and address any challenges firsthand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Participate in handoff meetings to understand project scopes and coordinate transition from estimating to execution.
• Lead kickoff meetings to align team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity on goals and expectations.
• Review and assess contract documents, identifying potential gaps or risks.
• Set up vendor accounts and secure materials and equipment at optimal pricing.
• Drive all aspects of pre-construction, including submittals, detailing, manpower planning, and procurement schedules.
• Conduct regular job site visits to evaluate progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project timelines and client expectations.
• Attend and contribute to weekly field team meetings to support ongoing coordination.
• Maintain and update manloading charts and three-week look-aheads to manage workforce planning.
• Proactively address project risks and schedule impacts to optimize outcomes and minimize margin erosion.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Identify design conflicts early and manage change orders to secure timely approvals.
• Participate in project review meetings, with a focus on budget performance and cost tracking.
• Perform detailed monthly financial reviews to assess progress against project estimates.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, promoting accountability and growth.
• Manage high-profile projects and provide direct oversight of field operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing mechanical, piping, or plumbing projects (MEP focus).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven track record managing multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, including relevant codes and regulations.
• Experience with healthcare or educational construction projects (HCAI/DSA) is a plus.
• Financial acumen and ability to assess and report on project health.
• Capable of leading design-build efforts and resolving design challenges on the fly.
