Job description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops new ways to drive clients to visit the restaurant and retain existing clients, while building new ones.
- Knows all the systems related to the reservation system (Yelp).
- Sets up the host stand and the front door.
- Develops a working knowledge of what’s happening in town.
- Is responsible for welcoming guests at the door and walking them back to their assigned table, always engaging a conversation during the walk.
- Is responsible to enter all reservations into our reservations management system (Yelp).
- Promptly responds to all phone calls related to reservations.
- Adheres to all established policies , procedures and guidelines.
- Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while multitasking in a stressful conditions.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-shifts and other scheduled meetings.
- Acts as an ambassador of the restaurant, marketing it and all products offered to the targeted customer base.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high –volume environment, in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights, sun, rain and dust; and communicate during this time, sometimes within a small area.
- Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Provide help and support to all fellow team members.
