Job description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs electrical and/or mechanical assignments while working from electrical schematics, BOM’s, layouts, and software. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assemble panels from design layouts, bill of materials, and wiring schematics.
- Run conduit and wire way per schematics.
- Pull, label and connect wire per schematics.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical components and systems as necessary.
- Some local travel to and from customer facilities.
- Report issues or improvements to Engineering and Supervision.
- Communicate effectively and professionally.
- Any other task or duty as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Install, connect, and test general manufacturing wiring.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Communication – written and verbal.
- Willingness to follow instructions.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Electrical degree or certificate preferred, but not required if 2 years of electrical work experience has been obtained. Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, codes, equipment, and safety procedures is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, bending, sitting, squatting, heavy lifting, and other physical activities.
