Some of life's biggest moments happen before a child can even read.
A first smile. A first step. A first word. A child discovering they are safe, capable, and loved.
At Gainesville Empowerment Zone Family Learning Center, we know those moments don't happen by chance. They happen because caring adults show up every day with patience, purpose, and heart.
If you're the kind of person who celebrates tiny victories, believes play is powerful, and understands that nurturing young children is some of the most important work there is, we'd love to meet you.
Your Role
As an Infant & Toddler Teacher, you'll help create a classroom where children feel secure, families feel welcomed, and learning happens naturally through curiosity, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience working with infants and/or toddlers
  • A warm, dependable, and team-oriented approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow
Required

  •  Child Development Associate (CDA), Florida Staff Credential, or equivalent recognized credential (or the ability to obtain within the timeframe required by Florida licensing and center policy, if applicable)
  •  Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting
  •  Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
  •  Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  •  A nurturing, dependable, and relationship-centered approach to working with children and families
Preferred

  •  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  •  Florida DCF training completed
  •  Current CPR and First Aid certification
  •  Experience with curriculum planning, child assessments, and family engagement
