Event Tent Installer / Event Crew Member

Funtastic Event Infrastructure & Tents is hiring dependable, hardworking Event Tent Installers / Event Crew Members to join our full-time field operations team in Vacaville, California.

We provide professional event infrastructure throughout Northern California, including commercial tents and temporary structures, flooring, staging, tables and chairs, pipe and drape, and other event equipment.

No event rental or tent installation experience is required. We will train the right candidate. Applicants with previous tent installation, event rental, construction, warehouse, equipment, or commercial driving experience may qualify for higher starting pay.

What You’ll Do

• Install and dismantle event tents and temporary structures
• Assist with commercial tent and clear-span structure installations
• Set up flooring, staging, tables, chairs, pipe and drape, and related event equipment
• Load and unload trucks and trailers
• Prepare and organize equipment at our warehouse before events
• Secure and protect equipment during transportation and installation
• Follow crew-lead instructions and company installation procedures
• Follow job-site and equipment safety requirements
• Keep trucks, equipment, warehouse areas, and job sites clean and organized
• Assist with event breakdowns and equipment returns
• Travel to event sites throughout Northern California
• Help complete installations safely, accurately, and on schedule

Requirements

• Valid California driver’s license required
• Reliable transportation to our Vacaville warehouse
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work
• Able to safely perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and changing schedules when events require it
• Able to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Able to work effectively as part of a crew
• Professional attitude around customers, venues, and other vendors

Experience

Experience is not required. We provide hands-on training.

Previous experience in any of the following is helpful:

• Tent or event rental installation
• Construction
• Warehouse operations
• Moving or delivery
• Staging or event production
• Landscaping or other physical outdoor work
• Forklift or material-handling equipment
• Box trucks or commercial vehicles

Pay

$20.00–$24.00 per hour

Starting pay is based on relevant experience, skills, driving ability, and demonstrated job performance.

Experienced tent installers and candidates with strong event rental, equipment, warehouse, or commercial driving experience may qualify for higher starting pay within the posted range.

Schedule

Full-time

Event work does not always follow a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule. Team members should be prepared for:

• Early-morning starts
• Some evenings
• Weekends
• Longer event days when necessary
• Changing schedules based on event requirements

Growth Opportunity

This position can develop into greater responsibility as skills and experience increase.

Potential advancement path:

Event Crew Member → Tent Installer → Senior Installer → Crew Lead

Crew Leads take on additional responsibility for installations, equipment, job-site execution, and crew coordination.
