Work Environment

This full-time position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work remotely while also engaging directly with clients at our outpatient office. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver integrated care that meets the diverse needs of our patients. We prioritize a supportive atmosphere that allows our licensed therapists the flexibility to address client needs effectively, including weekday and weekend scheduling as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately identify clients’ mental health challenges and appropriate treatment approaches.
• Design and implement customized therapy plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of clients, focusing on evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and resilience.
• Collaborate with case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to provide cohesive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage with clients' families, offering education and support to enhance the therapeutic process and family dynamics.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to ensure effective care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, comprising individuals and families from various backgrounds who are facing challenges such as relationship conflicts, communication issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. As an LMFT at Friendly Psychiatry, you will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their unique mental health journeys and improving their interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, critical for managing caseloads and administrative tasks efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in individual, couples, and family therapy settings, with a strong understanding of systemic therapy approaches.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• A background in working with clients experiencing substance use issues or co-occurring disorders is advantageous.
