Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients thoroughly for examinations and medical procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about their care.
  • Accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and clinical updates in the electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain comprehensive patient records.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and routine care, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and patient interaction.
  • Manage the logistics of referrals, coordinate lab orders, and facilitate follow-up communications, thereby enhancing patient continuity of care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and ready for immediate use.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Medical Assistant in our clinic, you will serve a diverse patient population, ranging from families to elderly individuals, with various healthcare needs. We focus on delivering culturally sensitive care to improve health outcomes for our community members, many of whom may face barriers to accessing healthcare services. Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and hold relevant certifications such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and California's clinical compliance standards.
  • Proficient in using an electronic health record (EHR) system, with experience in Epic considered an advantageous skill.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in a California-based outpatient healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to the overall clinic functions.
Compensation and Benefits
