Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health statuses through in-depth consultations and clinical interviews.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based approaches and therapeutic modalities.
• Maintain regular follow-up sessions to evaluate progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary, providing ongoing support and resources.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe environment for clients to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies.
• Collaborate with external health providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, when referrals or additional support services are required.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Freedom Trail Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse patient population facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. Your ability to understand and empathize with clients from different backgrounds will be crucial in providing culturally competent care. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team addressing the unique needs of each client, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices and various mental health disorders.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, demonstrating the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating the establishment of rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard office computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practices, maintaining professional boundaries, and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on holistic client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using techniques that are culturally responsive.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices in remote counseling techniques.
• Demonstrated involvement in community outreach or support programs aimed at mental health awareness.

Compensation and Benefits
