Job Description

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments: review medical histories, take vital signs, and identify oral health issues
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care
Assist Dr. Waldschmit during dental examinations and procedures to ensure patient comfort and workflow efficiency
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using Dentrix software, following HIPAA regulations
Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members
Stay current on the latest dental hygiene practices, technologies, and safety protocols
Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized and maintained properly according to OSHA standards
Perform medical imaging procedures as needed

Salary Range

Full-time $43 - $47 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

• General Dentistry
• Licensed dental hygienist

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Illinois
Strong knowledge of anatomy, general dentistry principles, and dental hygiene techniques
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
Previous dental office experience is preferred but entry-level candidates with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply
Ability to work full-time, approximately 38 hours per week
