Summary See below on how to apply Job Posting: Court-Appointed Counsel - Mental Health Review Officer (Substitute) Position Type: Independent Contractor / Part-Time Compensation: $325.00 per hearing day Overview: The Chester County Court of Common Pleas is seeking a substitute Mental Health Review Officer. The Chester County Court of Common Pleas is responsible for conducting proceedings in accordance with the Mental Health Procedures Act, 50 P.S. 7101, et seq

(Act). Pursuant to the Act, the Court may authorize a Mental Health Review Officer (MHRO) to conduct certain proceedings. The MHRO may conduct proceedings addressing extended involuntary emergency treatment, court-ordered involuntary treatment, or transfer hearings Hearings are held routinely 3 days/week between hours of 9:30-5:00, on occasion hearings may extend beyond 5:00pm, and in emergent situations may occur on a nontraditional court day.
