Position Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain & Logistics provides strategic leadership for the company's end-to-end supply chain, overseeing procurement, inventory management, materials planning, and logistics for both parts and completed vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials from suppliers through production and distribution, while optimizing inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory investment, and vehicle logistics to meet operational, financial, and customer delivery objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: Develop and execute short- and long-term supply chain strategies encompassing purchased parts, production materials, inventory management, vehicle logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. • Vendor & Supplier Management: Develop supplier evaluation and sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts to secure optimal pricing, quality, delivery, and commercial terms, and build strategic supplier relationships. Lead initiatives to reduce end-of-life and slow-moving inventory exposure, improve supplier performance, minimize working capital requirements, and ensure continuity of supply for both production and aftermarket operations.
  • Supply Chain Analytics & Inventory Optimization: Leverage data analytics to measure supply chain performance, forecast demand, establish and maintain min/max inventory strategies, and identify trends that improve purchasing decisions, inventory turns, fill rates, and overall supply chain efficiency across both parts and vehicle operations.
  • Leadership & Organizational Development: Lead, mentor, and develop purchasing, supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and execution. Ensure departmental goals, key performance indicators, and strategic initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Logistics & Distribution Management: Oversee all logistics operations, including inbound purchased parts, intercompany transfers, vehicle transportation, third-party logistics providers, warehousing, inventory movements, and outbound distribution. Ensure cost-effective, timely, and efficient movement of both components and finished vehicles while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Partner with Sales, Operations, Production, and the S&OP function to develop demand-driven inventory strategies for both parts and vehicle chassis. Optimize inventory placement, replenishment, just-in-time supply, production scheduling, and capacity planning to maximize inventory turns while supporting customer demand.
  • Cost Reduction & Working Capital Management: Develop and execute one-, three-, and five-year strategic roadmaps to reduce purchased material costs, freight expense, warehousing costs, vehicle logistics expenses, and overall supply chain operating costs. Drive continuous improvements that reduce working capital, increase inventory velocity, improve asset utilization, and strengthen overall operational profitability.

Position Qualifications:
