Foster Safety LLC Shop Technicians have the ability to operate as a team, manage inventory, support All Training Classes and Services offered by Foster Safety LLC and be in good physical condition. All Shop Technicians can obtain training and other positions within the company, and we encourage individual growth with training and opportunities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general assistance in Operations, Main Building, Shop and Projects including administrative and technical tasks
- Assist with Operational duties and functions
- Become (through training, as needed) a Certified Rescue/Stand-by and HAZMAT Technician
- Monitor business and program schedules
- Maintain, Stock and Support company and delivery vehicles
- Stock all inventories in appropriate quantities
- Clean and Maintain equipment as directed and scheduled
- Support Management, Instructors and Staff to have all tools necessary to complete their assigned tasks
- Serve as a liaison between Foster Safety LLC and Clients
- Provide assistance to Management, Instructors, Shop Supervisors and Clients for all services needed
- Assist in ALL programs development and deployment
- Operate equipment such as band saw, cut off saw, belt sander, drill press, disc grinder, hand drills, hand sanders, and other various hand tools
- Operate all Emergency Response, Training Props and EMT equipment in professional and efficient manners
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, measuring tools, and digital/laser measuring devices
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills
Certificates, Licenses and Qualifications:
- ISTC Basic Plus and Confined Space Certification (preferred)
- TWIC Card (preferred)
- Pass Drug and Substance Screening Test (required)
- Certified EMT Certification (preferred)
- Certified Emergency Response Certifications (preferred)
- American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Valid driver's license from state of residence (required)
- Must possess good driving record and be insurable for company and Client On-Site Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck (required)
- Work under the direction of an experienced manager/supervisor until they have mastered the required skill-sets and demonstrated ability to perform them. (required)
- All employee skills are evaluated by the Management Team annually and as necessary.
