Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to gauge clients’ unique mental health needs, concerns, and goals, using standardized assessment tools and client interviews.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.
• Lead couples and family therapy sessions, focusing on improving relationship dynamics, enhancing communication skills, and resolving conflicts through tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that outline specific goals and actionable strategies, collaborating closely with clients to ensure plans align with their aspirations for improvement.
• Provide crisis intervention support, leveraging skills to de-escalate situations and offer immediate assistance to clients facing urgent mental health challenges.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and community resources, promoting informed decision-making regarding their mental health journeys.
• Maintain meticulous client records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality.
• Consistently apply ethical guidelines and legal requirements in all counseling practices, ensuring that clients feel safe and respected throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits

Fortuna Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
