Position Overview

Fortuna Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services. This full-time position allows you to deliver therapy remotely, making it easier to meet the needs of our clients while offering the flexibility to work from home. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, utilizing tools such as Zoom and specialized therapy software.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with clients' personal goals, regularly assessing their progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Assess clients' emotional and mental health needs using established diagnostic tools and methodologies, ensuring a thorough understanding of their challenges and strengths.
• Provide timely crisis intervention in high-stress situations, ensuring client safety and establishing immediate therapeutic support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing our integrated electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about current trends in mental health theory and practice, fulfilling licensure requirements through ongoing professional education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a varied patient population, including individuals and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You will assist clients facing a wide range of issues, such as relationship challenges, parenting concerns, mood disorders, and trauma. Your support will empower them to develop healthy coping mechanisms, enhance their communication skills, and resolve conflicts effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Connecticut is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Experience working with couples and families from a variety of background.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family Systems Therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with addiction counseling is a plus, given the center's focus on holistic wellness and recovery support.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations and advocate for clients with empathy and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range of USD $80,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
