The Fortress Behavioral Health team is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our full-time clinical team. Work Environment

In response to the evolving needs of our clients, this position allows for a remote work environment within an outpatient office structure. The flexibility of working remotely offers the opportunity to manage your caseload while engaging in meaningful clinical interactions with clients. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Fortress Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, devising treatment plans that reflect the specific needs of each client.
• Communicate regularly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to report on patient progress, needs, and concerns.
• Collaborate with family members and the client's support system for effective treatment and discharge planning.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of clinical sessions, ensuring timely updates of clinical and progress notes in alignment with departmental policies.
• Facilitate care coordination, assisting clients with transitional plans and connecting them with regional and system providers to enhance access to services.
• Provide crisis intervention and support, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet immediate client needs and improve overall outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily targets adults experiencing diverse mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. Our clients come from varied backgrounds, and as such, cultural competence and an understanding of socio-economic challenges are essential for effective counseling. Counselors will employ evidence-based practices to guide clients through their recovery journey, actively promoting their resilience and overall mental health.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Current state licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or a comparable credential.
• A minimum of three years of direct experience providing counseling services, demonstrating a solid foundation in mental health treatment methodologies.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in electronic medical records, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• The ability to work independently, exhibiting self-motivation and exceptional organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with additional training or certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities and previous experience in outpatient settings. Familiarity with telehealth tools and methodologies is desirable, as we aim to extend our services through innovative and flexible platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, reflecting your experience and expertise. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
