Work Environment

As part of our onsite hospital setting in Ventura, California, you will collaborate directly with a team of licensed physical therapists and healthcare professionals. Our clinic environment is structured to be safe, inclusive, and warm, allowing kids of all abilities to thrive. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, engaging with a team-oriented culture that values open communication, continuous learning, and shared successes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate care to children ranging from infancy to adolescence under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
• Assist in implementing tailored treatment plans designed to enhance the children's strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and self-confidence.
• Employ creative, play-based strategies for therapeutic exercises, making each session enjoyable and mindful of the child's interests and developmental stage.
• Monitor and document each child's progress closely, communicating with the supervising physical therapist about adjustments needed to optimize their care.
• Actively engage with families and caregivers to support the reinforcement of therapeutic goals at home, fostering a comprehensive support system for the child.
• Enhance our clinic culture of positivity, safety, and inclusion, ensuring that children of all abilities feel welcomed and valued.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our pediatric clientele encompasses a range of conditions, including developmental delays, orthopedic issues, and neurological disorders. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in addressing the unique needs of each child, applying evidence-based techniques that facilitate their physical rehabilitation while also considering their emotional and social development. Early intervention is at the heart of our practice, and your contributions will directly enhance the quality of care we provide to families.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program is required.
• A valid California PTA license or eligibility to obtain one is mandatory.
• Strong teamwork abilities with a collaborative spirit, ready to contribute to a positive clinic environment.
• Patience, energy, and adaptability in catering to diverse needs, ensuring a child-centric approach.
• A genuine passion for pediatric therapy, dedicated to making therapy both engaging and empowering for children.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pediatric settings is favored; however, recent graduates with relevant clinical rotations in pediatrics are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience using therapeutic modalities or technologies specific to pediatrics will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 based on experience, ensuring your expertise and commitment are properly valued.
