Job description

Substitute Teacher - Retired FWCS Teacher
Please apply to this posting if you are a teacher who retired from FWCS. All other applicants should apply to the standard Substitute Teacher posting.
PURPOSE
To fill the role of teacher when the regular teacher is unavailable creating a consistent and positive learning experience.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
  • Work Schedule: School year
  • Work Hours: Elementary School: 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools: 7:10am-3:10pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a teacher who retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools
  • Sincere belief in educating all students to high standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow and implement instructions successfully

Substitute Teacher pay is based on completed education level and licensing:
  • FWCS retired teacher with valid Indiana teaching license: $170 per day
  • Substitute Teacher pay for long-term assignments: Contracted teacher daily rate starting on the 16th consecutive day in thesame assignment with valid Indiana teaching license.
