ABOUT THE ROLE
Fort McKay First Nation is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Shuttle Driver to provide transportation services for employees and support various community activities. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting employees between downtown Fort McMurray and the worksite, ensuring passenger safety and comfort at all times. The Shuttle Driver will also provide transportation for special events and serve as a backup driver for additional assignments, including field trips, extracurricular activities, and other scheduled transportation needs.
KEY RESPONSIBITIES
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Transport employees to and from work, field trips, and extra curricular activities using the school shuttle.
- Ensure all employees and students get on and off the bus safely.
- Interact positively with employees, students, parents, and staff members.
- Monitor the employee and student's safety and well-being while on the bus.
- Maintain a safe driving record by adhering to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report delays, accidents, or other incidents promptly.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and employees.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Split Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning Shift: 6:30 AM-9:30AM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM-5:30PM (Approx.)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is a definite asset
- Clean Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector required
- Valid class 4 Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract required
