Job Title: Director of Racquet Sports

Location: Forest Heights Country Club – Statesboro, GA

Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary:

Forest Heights Country Club is seeking an energetic, member-focused Director of Racquet Sports to lead and elevate our racquet sports program. This role is responsible for overseeing all tennis and emerging racquet sport activities, delivering high-quality instruction, and creating a vibrant, engaging environment for members and their families.

The ideal candidate will be both a strong instructor and a program builder—capable of growing participation, enhancing member experience, and integrating tennis into the overall club lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities: Program Development & Club Integration:
  • Lead and grow all tennis programming, including clinics, leagues, social events, and tournaments
  • Expand racquet offerings to include pickleball and other emerging racquet sports as appropriate
  • Collaborate with club leadership to align tennis programming with overall membership engagement goals
  • Support club events and foster cross-departmental participation
Instruction & Player Development:
  • Provide private and group instruction for juniors and adults of all skill levels
  • Build a strong junior development pipeline
  • Develop seasonal camps, after-school programs, and member clinics
Member Experience & Engagement:
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive tennis culture
  • Organize mixers, round robins, and social events
  • Build strong relationships with members
Operations & Facility Oversight:
  • Oversee court scheduling, maintenance coordination, and daily tennis operations
  • Ensure courts and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained
Revenue Growth & Promotion:
  • Drive participation in lessons, clinics, and events
  • Assist with pro shop operations if applicable
  • Promote tennis programming through club communications
Qualifications:
  • USPTA or PTR Certification (required or ability to obtain)
  • 3+ years of teaching experience
  • Strong background in junior and adult instruction
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience:
  • Private club experience
  • Pickleball programming knowledge
  • Event planning experience
