Job description

Forbes is seeking a Designer to support Forbes Live, the company's global live events business. Sitting within the Live Design team, this role shapes the visual identity and on-site experience of Forbes' in-person events around the world. This designer will concept and execute creative across the full event ecosystem - from branding and stage design to environmental graphics, sponsor integrations, and marketing materials - ensuring ideas translate seamlessly from screen to physical space.

The ideal candidate thinks beyond static design, viewing events through multiple lenses: how the brand appears in-room, how it is captured on camera for social and video, and how attendees, speakers, and sponsors experience the environment. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, production-driven settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Creative & Execution
    • Concept and execute visual identities for ForbesLive events, including key art and scalable branding systems.
    • Design and produce creative across the full event ecosystem - stage design, screen content, environmental graphics, signage, print collateral, sponsor integrations, and marketing assets.
    • Develop promotional assets for digital, social, and owned channels to support event marketing and audience growth.
    • Ensure all assets are production-ready and technically accurate for vendors, fabricators, and large-format output.
    • Translate creative ideas seamlessly from digital mockups to physical environments.
    • Willingness to travel to support live events, including on-site installation, rehearsals, and show days as needed.
    • Experience collaborating with fabricators, AV teams, and production vendors is a plus.
    • Comfortable iterating quickly and adapting creative based on evolving production needs and stakeholder feedback.
    • Understanding of screen resolutions, aspect ratios, and content formatting for LED walls and multi-screen environments as well as social/marketing campaigns.
  • Brand Visibility & Media Lens
    • Design with both the in-room experience and camera capture in mind - ensuring Forbes branding is optimized for photography, video, press, and social distribution.
    • Partner with social, video, editorial, and sales teams to extend event creative into multi-channel moments.
    • Create sponsor mockups and branded integrations that balance business objectives with brand integrity.
  • Systems & Workflow
    • Contribute to and maintain scalable design systems across a growing event portfolio.
    • Build organized production decks and file structures to support cross-functional alignment and efficient execution.
    • Manage multiple concurrent timelines with strong attention to detail and quality control.
    • Take ownership of projects from concept through final production, ensuring quality control at every stage.
    • Fast-paced, collaborative, and production-driven. This role will occasionally require travel and extended hours during event execution periods.

The ideal candidate:

  • 2-4 years of professional design experience across branding, print, digital, and experiential/event design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in typography, layout, branding systems, and environmental applications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects; ability to create and adapt motion graphics for stage screens and event content.
  • Proficiency in Figma and collaborative design workflows.
  • Experience preparing production-ready files for large-format print, environmental graphics, and fabrication.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges before they arise.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

The annual base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000.
