About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about high-quality cooking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in leading a station with precision and consistency.
The Chef de Partie will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensure dishes are prepared according to standards, and support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in maintaining exceptional food quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items consistently, following recipes and restaurant standards.
- Lead and manage your assigned station, ensuring it is fully stocked, organized, and operating efficiently throughout service.
- Train and mentor junior cooks working on your station, providing clear direction and support.
- Monitor preparation and portioning to minimize waste and maintain quality control.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on menu development, specials, and improvements.
- Ensure all food is handled, stored, and rotated properly, following health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team and FOH to ensure smooth service coordination.
- Maintain the cleanliness of your station and surrounding areas, including proper equipment use and sanitation.
- Assist with inventory and receiving products, ensuring quality, freshness, and proper rotation.
- Support the overall kitchen operation, jumping in to assist other stations as needed to ensure timely service.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
- Background in upscale, high-volume, or refined casual dining preferred.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, station leadership, and kitchen organization.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Solid knife skills and familiarity with a wide range of kitchen equipment.
- Miami Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain).
- Passionate, disciplined, and committed to culinary excellence.
- Flexible availability evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, walking, climbing steps, and performing repetitive motions.
- Clear vision, hearing, and communication abilities to execute food preparation safely and accurately.
