Position Overview

Focused Mind Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As an LMSW, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of individuals and families in the Orlando, Florida area, addressing critical social issues and delivering comprehensive support services.

Work Environment

This position operates within a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining regular business hours. Although our primary interactions will occur virtually, you will occasionally need to attend community-based activities and meetings. Your schedule may include occasional evening and weekend hours, depending on the needs of our clients and the dynamics of program activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ social, emotional, and environmental needs, facilitating effective intervention strategies.
• Create, implement, and monitor service plans tailored to individual client goals, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance.
• Provide empathetic counseling and support to individuals and families facing a range of challenges, including but not limited to domestic violence, mental health crises, and substance abuse issues.
• Engage in crisis intervention and develop safety plans for clients at risk, employing evidence-based practices to ensure their immediate well-being.
• Actively collaborate with clients to build personalized service plans and connect them with vital community resources, enhancing their access to necessary services.
• Coordinate with community partners and other social service agencies to advocate for clients, ensuring they receive comprehensive and cohesive support.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of our services and foster connections with potential clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMSW at Focused Mind Counseling, you will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals and families navigating complex social challenges such as homelessness, food insecurity, mental health concerns, and substance abuse. Your work will be instrumental in empowering clients to overcome these obstacles, helping them to access support systems that lead to sustainable change.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Florida.
• Strong understanding of social and economic justice issues as well as trauma-informed care.
• Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence to effectively connect with and support diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working in a social service agency or similar setting.
• Familiarity with community resources, mental health support networks, and crisis intervention methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Focused Mind Counseling offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and skills, along with a performance-based bonus structure. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
