  • Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs to support their recovery outside of therapy sessions.
  • Utilize effective modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cryotherapy, under the guidance of clinical protocols.
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and changes in treatment plans diligently in our health management system to ensure continuity of care.
  • Prepare and maintain the home treatment environment, ensuring all therapy equipment and supplies are functional and accessible.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to deliver coordinated and integrated patient care.
  • Provide emotional support, motivation, and encouragement to patients, instilling a sense of hope and positivity throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Adhere rigorously to ethical and legal standards in physical therapy practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.

In your role as a Physical Therapist at Focus Physical Therapy, you will primarily treat a diverse clientele, ranging from post-operative patients requiring rehabilitation after surgery to older adults and children needing specialized support for mobility issues. Your expertise will directly impact various conditions through targeted interventions, from improving mobility for those recovering from orthopedic procedures to enhancing functional ability for patients with neurological impairments.

Qualifications
  • A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a closely related field is a prerequisite; a Doctorate is preferred but not essential.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a home care setting is highly desirable.
  • Specialization in one or more areas of rehabilitation, such as geriatrics or pediatrics, will be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth practices is advantageous.
