Job description

Job Description:

Director, Insights Deployment, Portfolio, & Flywheel

Are you passionate about turning data into action? Do you excel at connecting the dots between research, analytics, and tangible business results? As the Director of Insights Deployment, Portfolio, & Flywheel for Mars Petcare, you will be the driving force ensuring our insights create a measurable impact across the entire organization. This is a highly visible role where you will not only shape our strategic direction but also build the essential processes and capabilities to embed data-driven decision-making into the heart of our culture. If you thrive on breaking down silos, accelerating growth, and leading a thought leadership agenda that influences senior leaders, this is the opportunity for you to make your mark.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in insights, analytics, strategy, or consulting roles.
  • Proven experience driving insights to business impact and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience building processes, frameworks, or operating models that scale across teams.
  • Strong background in analytics, research methodologies, and performance measurement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and capability-building programs.
  • Strong hands-on experience conducting business analytics and translating outputs into business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine market insights and primary research to tell a complete story of consumer behavior.
  • Prior ownership and development of standardized but engaging periodic reporting processes.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop, execute, and operationalize a thought leadership roadmap, personally driving business intelligence and analytics, ensuring insights are translated into clear recommendations, and driving to action through collaboration with the broader Insights team.
  • Develop and execute a strategic communication plan for Insights that highlights key work and business impact across stakeholders.
  • Break down silos across Insights teams by embedding consistent processes, forums, and tools that promote collaboration and action.
  • Lead and embed portfolio and growth analytics processes (e.g., white space identification, demand spaces, flywheel, long term planning, etc.), partnering across the org to ensure robust, insight-led decisions.
  • Build and implement a standardized methodology to drive research-to-impact, including tracking outcomes, measuring effectiveness, and maintaining a living pipeline of actions yet to be executed.
  • Own and continuously improve reporting and communication vehicles (e.g., periodic reports, dashboards, webinars, competitive Intelligence), incorporating AI and advanced tools to increase efficiency, depth, and accessibility.
  • Design and lead cross-team enablement programs to ensure all insights associates understand ongoing work, analytical outputs, key learnings, and recommended actions-driving alignment and accelerating execution.
  • Oversee budget management and prioritization, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, identifying efficiencies, and maximizing return on insights investments.
  • Design and deploy training programs for marketing and Insight teams, enhancing capabilities in performance management, measurement, data interpretation, and data-driven decision-making.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
