Role Description The Insurance Sales Agent is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lutz, FL, with some flexibility to work from home. This role involves prospecting and generating leads, conducting consultations with potential and existing clients, and recommending appropriate insurance products based on their needs. The agent will prepare quotes, explain policy terms and coverage options, and assist clients with applications, renewals, and policy changes. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, responding to inquiries, providing ongoing customer service, and meeting individual and agency sales targets. The Insurance Sales Agent will also collaborate with the agency team to coordinate marketing efforts, maintain accurate records in the CRM or agency management system, and stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Insurance Sales and general Sales skills, including lead generation, consultative selling, and closing.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to support clients with policy questions, claims guidance, and ongoing account management.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, including policy types, coverage options, and underwriting basics.
  • Active state insurance license (or ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe) and prior experience in personal or commercial lines is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in clear, accessible terms.
  • Comfort with CRM or agency management systems, basic office software, and working in a hybrid environment with both in-office and remote responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets; bilingual skills are a plus.
