Now Hiring a Commercial Relationship Officer
The Commercial Relationship Officer is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial agriculture relationships within an assigned territory. Works closely with Association team members to develop and implement financing solutions designed to meet the needs of the individual customers. Leads the customer relationship efforts and provide functional guidance to the assigned loan team. Implement sales and marketing plans to capitalize on opportunities to grow with existing relationships and develop new relationships within their assigned territory. Will have a strong focus on customer relationship management, ensuring a superior customer experience is achieved.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance to the Ocala Office and preferably has some knowledge of the equine business.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day customer relationship of commercial customers. Regularly meets with customers to keep abreast of information concerning their businesses, banking needs, strategic direction, and earnings to determine business opportunities.
- Works closely with the loan life team to develop solutions for the customers lending needs.
- Develops and implements a sales and marketing plan focused on potential and existing customers with the goal of retaining and increasing existing business and developing new business opportunities.
- Maintains expertise in key agricultural industries within the assigned territory, while staying informed of industry trends and competition within the local market.
- Works closely with the assigned Portfolio Manager, Credit Analyst, Loan Assistant and Loan Closer in order to ensure the customer has an exceptional customer experience.
- Approves loan requests within delegated lending authority, with a focus on loan structure and pricing.
- Makes recommendations and presents the same to the applicable Loan Committee.
- Works closely with assigned Portfolio Manager to ensure compliance with each customer's terms and covenants.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Agriculture; or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a commercial loan officer in a financial institution. Agriculture-related lending experience is a plus.
